Berserk may be back on hiatus after just three short chapters, but the story has reached a major turning point for both Guts and Griffith. Berserk Chapters 384, 385, and 386 recontextualized everything for Guts and Griffith’s stories in just a few pages. Major plot twists have fundamentally changed how Guts has been seen by fans, while Griffith’s relationship with the God Hand has been given new clarity.
For the first time in a long time, it truly feels like Berserk is setting up the manga’s endgame. It’s painfully clear that Guts and Griffith are reaching the end of their journeys. One thing is certain: the series will never be the same once the manga returns for Berserk Chapter 387. The final battle in Falconia is coming.
Guts is Now Stronger Than Ever
Upon being sealed away in Kushan, Guts dove deep into his psyche, examining where he came from. In the process, Guts awakened his true connection to the Interstice. In being born of a corpse, Guts exists in-between the real world and Astral World. Guts is also linked to Griffith by fate, essentially being chosen to stop him one day. This spiritual realization ends up healing all of Guts’ wounds and losses of sense since donning the Berserker Armor.
Not just that, Guts seemingly has the power of the Berserker Armor innately. Guts is able to break free from his chains, and free himself from his tomb. Guts has always been strong, but he’s reached a supernatural level of strength with his most recent power-up. This boost is exactly what Guts needs if he’s going to storm Falconia with the rest of his allies – especially now that the God Hand are back in play. Complete with the Dragon Slayer, Berserker Armor, and his newfound power, Guts has everything he needs to put down the God Hand one finger at a time.
The God Hand Have Officially Turned on Griffith
Despite promising Griffith a kingdom of his own in the Eclipse, the God Hand are not happy with how he’s been running Falconia. The God Hand appeared at the end of Berserk Chapter 386 to mock Griffith for essentially playing at being a hero. Griffith summons demons into the world, kills them, and acts like Falconia is the only safe place in the world: a lie of his own making. The God Hand calls out Griffith’s “illusion” before leaving at the end of the chapter.
Griffith doesn’t get a chance to respond to the God Hand, but he is clearly angry at the insult and mockery thrown his way. This could be Berserk‘s way of setting up Griffith turning on the God Hand, and ultimately usurping them himself. Similarly, Berserk could be setting up a temporary truce between Guts and Griffith in order to beat the God Hand together before starting their final battle. If nothing else, the God Hand’s interjection makes it clear that Griffith and the God Hand were on the same page.
This is a major contradiction to the Idea of Evil’s notion that the God Hand exists to fulfill Femto’s will. If that were the case, they would not be displeased with Griffith’s actions in Falconia. When it comes down to it, Griffith is simply not sowing enough chaos by trying to govern a legitimate nation and frame himself a hero. Griffith currently has the largest and most powerful army in the world at his disposal, however, which could allow him to gain an edge over the God Hand if their relationship remains antagonistic.

A Private Blog Network (PBN) is a collection of websites that are controlled by a single individual or organization and used primarily to build backlinks to a “money site” in order to influence its ranking in search engines such as Google. The core idea behind a PBN is based on the importance of backlinks in Google’s ranking algorithm. Since Google views backlinks as signals of authority and trust, some website owners attempt to artificially create these signals through a controlled network of sites.
In a typical PBN setup, the owner acquires expired or aged domains that already have existing authority, backlinks, and history. These domains are rebuilt with new content and hosted separately, often using different IP addresses, hosting providers, themes, and ownership details to make them appear unrelated. Within the content published on these sites, links are strategically placed that point to the main website the owner wants to rank higher. By doing this, the owner attempts to pass link equity (also known as “link juice”) from the PBN sites to the target website.
The purpose of a PBN is to give the impression that the target website is naturally earning links from multiple independent sources. If done effectively, this can temporarily improve keyword rankings, increase organic visibility, and drive more traffic from search results.
